The magazine «National Geographic Traveler» selected 15 of the most interesting places to travel around Russia. The list is opened by the Kenozersky National Park.

The authors advise to taste local northern cuisine, have a walk along the ecological «Transkenozero path» and learn about traditional crafts from local craftsmen.

«For those who like active tourism, there are several ecological routes, where visitors can move along them both on foot and by bicycles. By the route «Transkenozero path» it is might be possible to cross the national park from North to South, stopping overnight in a tent or a forest shelter. In the Kenozersky National Park visitors could attend master classes on crafts and learn how to navigate a traditional boat. As well, guests can try local cheeses and a the very special fish dish — lokshmozersky vendace. At the unique museum named «In the beginning was the World» tourists have a chance to enjoy grandmother`s lullabies and to participate in the old traditional ritual of matchmaking».
