The house of E.K. Plotnikova is considered as a monument of architecture of the late 18th - early 20th century. This is the only house of the old Arkhangelsk, that has survived to the present day. A permanent exhibition "Russian classical art of the 18-20 centuries” is presented in here.
The show rooms of the old house exhibit the paintings, drawings and sculptures by famous Russian artists of XVIII-XX centuries, such as Karl Bryullov, Fyodor Rokotov, Ivan Aivazovsky, Alexey Venetsianov, Ivan Kramskoy, Mikhail Nesterov, Valentin Serov, Ivan Shishkin, Alexandre Benois and other artists.
On the ground floor there is an exhibition hall displaying the culture and the life of the old Arkhangelsk.
